  1. Business Immigration:

This is the type of immigration in which you state that you wish to attain a Canadian visa solely for some investment. This is attractive as it helps in flourishing the economy and trade of the country even more. The criterion to be met for this visa is the presence of 250,000 CAD for investing in metropolitan/city centers, and 150,000 CAD in town localities. Another requirement is that your investment should create at least one job for a Canadian national in the case of a new business, and shall contribute to the flourishment in the case of a pre-existing one. A minimum net worth of $600,000 is mandatory.

  1. Global Talent Visa:

In this case, your talent and its expression in the country must have a positive effect on Canadian society. Also, it should be a means of producing more jobs in Canada. You are required to prove to be a beneficiary for the country.

  1. Student Visa:

This is one of the most sought-after programs of immigration to Canada. This is due to its ever-strengthening education system, the unmatched value of a degree, and the job market. It is a great opportunity for aspiring and driven students from under-developed or developing countries. According to a study, approximately 54% of the total Canadian student visas went to Indian and Chinese applicants in 2018 alone. The documents required for this, are enlisted below:

  • Passport
  • Passport size photographs (6)
  • 10th mark sheet, Credit certificate
  • 12th mark sheet, Credit certificate
  • IELTS (overall 6 bands and no less than 5.5
  • Each module minimum for SPP)

In this situation, a student can apply for a work permit after 1 year, for which he/she is allowed 21 working hours. However, after completion of education, a 3-year old full work permit is granted.

  1. Work Permit:

This visa is a hot favorite among all Canadian nationals. To be eligible to apply for this, the applicant must:

Possess one-year work experience within the last 10 years, that, too, in one of the 347 eligible occupations enlisted under the NCO system.

  • Score sufficient marks under the skilled worker point grid, the minimum passing criterion for which is 67 marks.
  • Be medically fit and possess a clean slate as per law enforcement authorities.
  • Have sufficient knowledge of the English language.

  1. Spouse Visa:

This visa further comprises two distinct categories of applicants:

  • One situation is that in which the resident had initially immigrated through a student visa. Under such circumstances, a spouse can be called through this visa.
  • Another case is that in which an immigrant marries a Canadian citizen. Resultantly, the immigrant takes a spouse visa on his behalf.

  • Medical fitness certificate

This is the right option for those people who aim to immigrate to Canada once and for all and wish to remain there permanently for the rest of their lives. In 2018 alone, approximately 350,000 people immigrated to Canada upon this visa.

To avail of this option, a few must-haves are:

  • Area of expertise
  • Birth certificate
  • Past work experience
  • The basic grip on the English language

 

  1. Parents Visa:

If Canadian locals wish to call their parents or grandparents, they are granted a super visa. This grants them an allowance to live for up to 2 years on each visit. Criteria states:

  • NOA for last tax year
  • Proof of financial sustainability
  • Letter of invitation signed by the son
  • Statement about the purpose of visit
  • Canadian medical insurance worth $100,000, valid for at least a year and proof of its payment
