Applying for skilled immigration you should educate yourself about the express entry program first. The Express Entry is a system has the following economic immigration programs:
Federal skilled worker
This program was specifically crafted for those who already have some international work experience and are now seeking permanent immigration to Canada.
To be eligible for this program, a minimum of three requirement:
- educational background
- skilled work experience
- linguistic skills
If you three requirements are successful met by you, your application will be considered for this program. We will examine your:
- age
- Education
- Prior work experience
- Validity of your job offer
- Proficiency in English and/or French
- Likelihood of you being able to settle down in Canada
Federal skilled trades program
If you’re planning to apply for Canadian immigration through the Federal skilled trades program, then you’ll be judged upon:
- Language abilities
You are to take approved tests for:

- Listening
- Speaking
- Work
- Minimum of 2 years full-time or equivalent part-time experience in a skilled trade within the last 5 years
- Meeting requirements set out in the National Occupation Classification for your particular job
- Present evidence for the duties performed by you as stated in the statement of the occupational description in the NOC.

There are no strict requirements set out in this program with regards to an applicant’s level of education.
Canadian Experience Class
The third and final category in the Express Entry program is the Canadian Experience Class. The requirements are:
- Language abilities
You are to take approved tests for:
- Writing

Minimum 1 year of experience working in Canada as a skilled worker in the last 3 years. The work experience must be:
- Full-time
- Equivalent part-time
- Experience is gained by legally working in Canada
Please note self-employed work experience and jobs performed as a full-time student will not be taken into consideration
