Application

How Can you fill out an immigration application?

There are two ways through which you can apply to Canada. You could submit a handwritten application or fill it online.

If you are applying on paper:

  • Answer every question, even if it does not apply to you. Your application will be returned to you if you’ve missed a question
  • If you do not have any answer for a question, and no instructions are given for it in the form or instruction guide, write “not applicable” or “N/A” in the space provided. Hence, showing you have read and filled out the form fully.
  • If an answer to one of the questions does not fit in the space provided, write your full answer on a separate sheet of paper.
  • Any additional information you want to give us, such as details of your case, write it on a separate sheet of paper.

If you are applying online:

  • Don’t leave a question blank as may lead to rejection of your application
  • If you do not have any answer for a question, and no instructions are given for it in the form or instruction guide, write “not applicable” or “N/A” in the space provided. Hence, showing you have read and filled out the form fully.

How do I submit my application?

How you will submit your application depends on your purpose of applying for Canada in the first place.

  •  Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) applications are filled out and submitted online.
  •  Temporary resident applications (visitor visa, study permit or work permit) can be submitted online and through an IRCC office visa application centre. It will depend on your particular program and our consultants will guide you through the process.
  •  Permanent resident applications can be submitted in a number of ways. However, you will be guided on the best road to take depending on which permanent resident program you apply for.
  •  Citizenship applications are sent to the Case Processing Centre in Sydney
